About Universal City, TX - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Universal City is a Texas city located in both Guadalupe and Bexar Counties. As of 2010, the population had exceeded 18,500 residents, and the city is situated about 15 miles from Downtown San Antonio. This community is relatively new and was established in 1960, and it consists of 5.7 square miles of total area. Universal City is served by the Schertz-Cibolo-University City and Judson Independent School Districts, and it is also home to the Universal City Public Library.

Universal City is home to a few attractions to help residents and visitors pass their time. The Tilt video arcade is a popular destination for families with young children. The Randolph Oaks Golf Course, which is located on Randolph Air Force Base, is also a hotspot for visitors who are interested in hitting the links.

Additional attractions are also available in nearby Downtown San Antonio. The River Walk is one of the city’s most popular areas of interest, as it is lined with numerous restaurants, bars, and stores, and the Arneson River Theater is also located here. During the New Year and Christmas holiday period, the area is transformed into an impressive light display. During the summer months, flamenco and folkloric music fill the street, and celebrations like the Fiesta Noche del Rio also draw in visitors.

Universal City is known for its humid subtropical climate zone. During the summer, the weather is quite hot, and average high temps in July and August are generally in the mid-90s. Residents will rely on an efficient home cooling system to keep them comfortable and safe during these times. On the other hand, winters are usually mild or comfortably warm. The city only experiences 10-12 subfreezing nights per year, and during these times, homes will need to use a heat pump or furnace to keep pipes from freezing.
